Today is going to be an awesomely busy day. First up, a corporate golf outing! Nothing beats a day of work like a day of work on the golf greens! Plus there are usually some pretty cool prizes….
Fueling up before this long day at the office with an Orange Cream Smoothie. Tastes like an orange creamsicle but uber healthy. Enjoy!
Orange Cream Smoothie (V, GF)
- 1 banana
- 1 pear
- 1 orange (peel removed)
- 1.5c frozen (thawed) cauliflower (sub with a scoop of vanilla protein powder if you’d prefer)
- 3 large carrots, peeled, chopped
- 2 handfuls romaine leaves
- 1.5c almond milk
- 1.5c coconut water
- (optional) stevia, honey, maple or agave syrup to sweeten
Put all this stuff in a high powered blender and blend till smooth. If you plan to drink this right away, toss in a handful of ice cubes to get it nice and cold. I put mine in the fridge for an easy grab-n-go breakfast in the mornings.
This morning before golfing I poured it over cooked quinoa and added cacao nibs and walnuts (golf is a long game). Kind of a take on my Green-oa; I should be good to go, wish me luck!
After golf is Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. I don’t like scary things but I can certainly trick-or-treat through the Magic Kingdom!
